Hi owner of this loko!All!
Just a question about crocodile 39560 which I receive from Lokshop yesterday. Since I´m very nosey about the locos I`ve got, I screwed the cover of to look inside, noticed that there was no lever(:O) to the pantograph if you want to drive with catanary (yes I know there´s no reson to drive with catanary currant if you got digital)I just wonder if they forgotten the lever or if it´s a standard operation now? I haven´t noticed this on any other E-locos.
Bay the way the crocodile is a very wellrunning loko with its c-sine motor.
Have a nice day!(:D)

According to the marklin website and catalog it should be able to run on catanary so if I were you I would double check and then call your retailer...

Hi Gerson,

I don´t have the 39560 myself but there shall be a small switch placed on the chassi between the inner driving wheel set,on the same side as the pick up shoe.It is a very small and black switch.
Here you have a link to a description in Swedish:

Good luck to you and your new crocodile.

Hi Gerson, all
If you thought this was a stupid question by someone who didn't read the manual, you' re wrong

I got my 39560 from the Lokshop yesterday as well, and the manual is wrong.
The switch is not located at the side, but at the bottom, right under the decoder. Turn the side with the pickup shoe to the maximum, and you'll see the switch in the middle of the bottom.

Hi Gerson, All,
Now I do have a similar 39560 Crocodile question myself.
I can't remove the 'nose' body part at the side of the pickup shoe.
The other side is easily removed as is stated in the manual: press the tabs behind the drive wheel, and lift the center side.
Does this apply to the pickup shoe side as well (and is my specimen malfunctioning), or is there another hidden trick?

B

It is supposed to be done the same way. However, there have been reports on the mailing lists (MML & MB&G) that one of snouts of the new crocodile can be very difficult to take off due to design tolerance issues. Pull hard, but be careful. Maybe a screwdriver to press the plastic tabs will help.

Dear Crocodile 39560's owners , I have a question for you : does your loco have a "Ce" or "Be" sign ? I found mine has the wrong one ( Be 6/8 III 14310 ) instead of Ce 6/8 III 14310 !!
What about you ?
Ciao
Andrea

My 39560 has the wrong class. It shows "Be" instead of "Ce". And this is not the first mistake I noticed on a Marklin production. Take for example 39361, SBB Ae 6/6 Goeschenen. They simply forgot to print the depot the lok belongs to. That is the white sign at the door steps of Re and Ae classes.

Any idea on how to bring these issues ( defective products ) to M 's attention and ask for a "due" answer to their customers ?? Is this a too much unionist approach ? I sent M tens of emails on the subject never had an anwswer !!! Ciao Andrea

I have a Be 6/8, in the Trix version. As you guys know, it was sold a couple of years ago under Marklin 3356 and 3756 (digital version).

Looking in the newest catalog, the 39560 model clearly shows the CE imprint on the side. But if you compare the picture with the picture of the 3356 in an older catalog, you'll see it is the exact same picture! They just retouched the photo, changed Be to CE and 13305 to 14310.

Too bad they forgot to make both changes on the actual model.

I would send the loc's back to Lokshop. You bought a CE, not a Be!
When Marklin gets a call from Lokshop that 95% of Marklin's total Croc sales is coming back, they may get into action
