Current conducting couplers from RTK-Elektronik?

Hi! I saw that RTK-Elektronik makes conducting replacement couplers for RELEX and short couplers. http://www.maerklinist.d...gen/frame-kupplungen.htmThe RTK web site is still under construction and I did not find a dealer so far. The bigger German mail order seem not to carry them. Anybody tried those couplers? Where to buy? Thanks ... Hans |

Hello Hans,
I have not used those couplers, but I have used the Roco current conducting couplers that are shown also. They are far superior to the Marklin current conducting couplers. They fit the pockets, couple easily and have four connectors if you need them. You can just snip the ones you don't need. I am going to replace all of my Marklin cc couplers with them. They are hard to find in the US so I have gotten them on my trips to Germany. You might try Loc Shop or ETS.

Hello All.
Thanks Jack and Webmaster. I will look into the ROCO couplers. The wiring certainly looks sturdier than the thin copper toungs in the plastic cc NEM pockets. I have bent several by trying to couple cars. The Marklin ccs are not so bad when the cars have metal NEM pockets.
I just ordered some Marklin replacment couplers. And I know that I can get thin copper foil from the local hobby store which solders more easily then the steel tin Dr. Koenig used. Maybe I try to make my own ccs.
Thanks again ... Hans
