Hi all,

Just recently, rumours about a new BR 23 popped up, and this weekend they're proven right. Märklin Netherlands announced the BR 23 (neubau) as one of the new items for 2009. Of course, it is going to be a full new tooling. See: http://www.maerklin.nl/producten/folders/BR23.pdf

For a recent discussion on the BR 23 models and its prototype(s), see:
https://www.marklin-user...ult.aspx?g=posts&t=11307

Well, to me, it is going to be another temptation to start collecting more than just the era I stuff. wink

For nerds as I am, Sander means 'Neubau', though the numbers 23 001 and 23 002 are confusing.

I'll go for the 23 001 (Sound) and 39 048 (Insider).

I agree.
Already two locs on my wishlist. The BR 39 and the BR 23, both with sound.

I wonder how many black and red smoking locos they will produce for this year?

An outsider.
I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

In the mean time; the announcement on the Dutch Märklin homepage disappeared, the pdf file, however, is still available. Perhaps the information on this loco was not yet supposed to be published?
