Hi all,

Similar to the modification to the ET420 S-Bahn units (See https://www.marklin-users.net/fo...Marklin-37501-37505.aspx), I also modified the VT08.5 (Marklin 39081) to have the unit pick up current from both shoes and not just the first one. Just connect the two soldering points marked by the yellow circles. Much better slow running characteristics !

Not suitable if you use analog stop sections where you cut the power to the train to stop it. The modified train will continue running from the rear pick-up shoe.

Best regards,
Gregor
