This is now available for download on the ESU site. Has anyone given it a try yet? I am at 2.6.6 and my software does not yet recognize that an update is avalable.

I went ahead and installed it myself. The new version allows control of the volume of each individual sound. These seems like a very nice improvement to me.

Mark,
Is the new version in English also - the ESU web site
http://www.esu.eu/index.php?id=238
indicates German only?

Which Lokprogrammer are you using?
I have 53451 the Blue one in this picture
http://www.esu.eu/index.php?id=19 at the bottom of the page.

The confusing thing is that the Loksound website mentions a 53452 lokprogrammer
http://www.loksound.com/ - click on downloads and software for Lokprogrammer.

Others on the forum have mentioned the 53452 as well but it does not seem to exist under this number. Lokshop do not have it but modellbahn
http://www.modellbahnecke.de/esu_loksound.htm do have a picture of the grey one now but as # 53451.
I would like to download the new software so if it is capable of reading the Marklin MFX decoders which according to the Loksound website it is supposed to do.
Can you or other members shed some light on this?

Thanks

Hello Diesel,I have downloaded the latest version & can do many things with it but it will not let me load a new sound file to a loco. It goes throught the motions & it gets past the first bar & then it tells me it cannot upload that sound profile. I have Lokprogrammer 53451. I have Version 2.5.3 on my other hard drive & it works like it is supposed to. The last update also did not work for me. I can change all info but upload a sound profile.

Dave, I presume you have the BLUE 53451 lokprogrammer.
I am using version 2.6.2. with mine.

With the latest version 2.6.6 OR 2.6.7 with the blue 5341 can you read the CV's of a marklin mfx sound decoder?

With my V2.6.2 the 5341 Lokprogrammer recognises that it is a mfx sound decoder but will not read any other CV's.
I am not concerned about downloading sound files but would like to change other CV's via the programmer instead of going via my 6021 as the Ecos does not recognise the marklin mfx decoder either.

Hello Diesel, Yes I have the blue model.I can do most things with the latest version 2.6.7. except upload a new sound file to a loco. I have never had the need to fiddle with CV's but I need to understand a little more about it before I change them around or fine tune the loco via the CV's.

Dave,
Just confirming that when you say "most things" your lokprogrammer fully reads the "marklin mfx sound decoder" and which loco or locos are you checking.

Thanks

Hello Diesel,I just put my 30881 DHG 700 on my test track which has a (marklin MFX Decoder) & no sound & it read it just fine.I put my 39970 BR 701 Turmtriebwagen & yes you are right, "Decoder cannot be read" That being a untouched marklin product.I then put my 37655 BR V60 which has a Loksound V3.5 sound decoder in it & it read it just fine.So there is a definite problem there & a bit of a disappointment personally. I wonder if this is deliberate or are they stumped with their own software problem?

The problem with the 39970 BR 701 Turmtriebwagen is due to the SDS motor board. The decoder has to be removed from the unit to be programmed. This is a problem with most 39XXX series loks.

Thanks Dave.

Mark,
are you using the the blue 53451 lokprogrammer or the newer grey lokprogrammer ( #53451 or 53452 depending on which web site you look at).

Also for those who have the newer grey lokprogrammer what is the actual number on the box 53451 or 53452 ?

Yes, I also noted that the automated notification and download is working now. I haven't tried the individual sound settings yet. Have you?
