Thanks for the information Stephen.
The link is working but unfortunately only catering for German Speakers. Only the German Version available,

IF the system is working we should get our posted real copy downunder 14-16 days after Lutz.

Maybe some of you could shed some light on something rather odd. I joined the Insider club in January 2007. My membership and delivery was on and off all year. I decided to cancel my subscription for 2008 as I am not getting enough out of the club to justify it at this time.

My current membership is slated to end in August 2008 as they put my membership on hold and then restarted it in August 2007 after a few emails and phone calls.

I just received the Marklin Magazine 1/2008. The strange this is that I got the German issue. All my other mailings have been in english. I also just received the magazine and nothing else. I thought I would have had a few other things in there.

I am quite puzzled as to how I would get this magazine. The only other thing I can think of is that I inquired directly to Marklin Magazine about the cost of a subscription. They emailed me back asking for an address. I replied with my address and then never heard anything about what the cost would be. Do you think this magazine could be a result of that email?

Does anyone want to hazard a guess as to what is happening?

Cheers...
Darren

Usual Marklin Insider and Magazine Operation.
Because you enquired about the Magazine that is all you are down for. It is SNAFU for Marklin Mag and Insiders.

Best of British or should I say Best of German.

I was pleasently surprised too Ron, New Jersey does not seem to be near the top of the list for delivery timing, but mine was actually in my mailbox on February 14th[^] Big improvement over last year.

I still have not got anything.. What about the rest of Australia?? I beginning to wonder if the Insider club nominates "Favourite Australian for this Edition" and e-mails their copy while the rest of us wait eight weeks? I seem to be favourite for 6/2007, while Nev is the Favourite for 1/2008.. Am I mad?

No I asked Lutz to make sure I was in the first post distribution. .

and Quoting LUTZ if you haff not gott your package you must telephone Marklin as stated on hte Web Page (In German if you can understand German Language.) and Complain and tell them that you haff not gott the package.

Then they will send you one. Once again a lot of Peoples haff fallen off the distribution list.

Fist to phoe can borrrow mine to have a read. biggrin Flash Dave will set the fee. [}:)]

As Nev says Adrian it is your responsibilty to ensure Marklin know you have not got your magazine.. they will then send you one immediatley (two months) and then lots more of the same magazine at a later date. Remember there is a certain day for English speakers and ensure that they know it is not their fault. You could of course join the outsiders .. we get all the stuff anyway.

David
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

1/2008 reached the Shire yesterday. Still waiting for 5/2007 despite of several letters to them. Maybe they use the same post office workers as in Men in Black II? If anyone can figure out how their despatch system works they are very close to solving the mystery of the universe.

Came in to Connecticut a couple of weeks ago. Best package yet in my 2+ years of membership. It's next to my bed rather than in the loo. Smile

Next thing you know Marklin US (or Walthers) may even participate in a show somewhere in the eastern United States (none scheduled for 2008 - just 4 shows in the mid-west/far-west).

I got mine yesterday, the new items catalog was good, again I want more than I can afford.

I was disappointed in the quality of the video, the interlacing conversion to NTSC DVD was bad I think there video Department could use "New Tooling". It was sill good to watch.
