Hello everyone,

I am very pleased to have purchased an amazing collection of Marklin O gauge items. I locomotive and three passenger cars. I was able to asses the values of the HR 66/12920 and the 19410 but the others I have never seen before...I at least know they are the J versions. Possibly 1942JG/0?

Comments welcome,

Thanks,
Bill

Thank you for the information and the model numbers.

How do you guys think I did price wise. I was tempted to bid but the Buy It Now seemed significantly lower than what I had estimated it in my mind.

Especially with the sale of these items just a short while ago:

I did quite a bit of research on the HR 66 and the passenger cars.

Thanks,
Bill

Also,

Did all of the 40cm passenger cars have yellow writing on the lower black frame? I noticed some did and some didn't...are these different version?? Also it seems the white signs are missing on mine.

Thanks,
Bill

Certainly,

For right now the best ones are in the auction.

Once I receive the set, I will take more pictures and post them on my website. It should arrive within the week since it was sent priority.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

pre-war cars have these writings, post-war cars don't have the imprintings.

Thank you Markus,

Your information is always very helpful. I would assume the pre-war cars are more valuable than the post war cars. Is this correct?

I would assume much less than this one...?

I have to ask these many questions until I get the Schiffman catalogs and other books!

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

As promised I have taken a few quick pictures. (I will take more detailed pictures later...but just to get something up I have posted a few).

I had a very busy day unpacking all the trains...it took me about 45mins!

For now they are just placed in a shelf and they will later be moved into a display case where my HO trains are...but I am running out of space!

As procedure goes...I will VERY lightly clean off the light dust using a Q-Tip and a small amount of water. I also need to switch wheels on tender with the wheels on the 1941!

Thank you all for looking,
Bill

Here is the HR 66 12920.

Are ones of this quality normally selling for $4,300++?

Thanks,
Bill
