NOt wearing the Pink Pinny, which is hard to see and now I have a white Pinny which also is hard to see against MY pure white Skin Still have 2 new shiny tin Hips that is badly in Need of Repair matching rusting tin shoulders
and a hose pipe on the aorta

I have seen these on Ebay before. Looks like it is just a special edition type of thing. When two companies come together to make a "commemorative" piece. Looks like it is from 2001. I would not consider this an especially "rare" piece but would be fun to have.

Here is one that ended about a week ago. Now that I see more of them...they look like they are really great pieces. Tell us if you decide to purchase it. I would love to know more about it!

Both are two very successful German companies known for high quality products~

Hummels have been around for years. My grandmother had them back in the 1970's. They have a cult of collectors just like Marklin.

seatrains-- you are very correct...I have a great book on them, it is amazing how close the structure of Marklin and Hummel are based on both of their histories. It is very fascinating.

That is very funny! We think alike! I was just going to ask that because two things make something expensive....quality and demand (there are others as well). I'll have to research that...its not going to be easy to find!
