Recently I purchased a RSM 800 I belief to be the first version. The little electric loco looks authentic and in quite good condition but the green color has got me questioning if this is a repaint or original. No signs of repaint are apparent and the roof looks authentic. The green color tint looks right for the era (a little lighter than the green used by marklin in later years) but the color has more gloss to it also. Mikado describes this loco as half matt in finish but to me this looks like a semi gloss finish. Does anyone have this loco or knows what the finish should look like? Thanks for your help.
