hi all,

i had to open the cover part below a 24611 switch to pull out something that fell in, but now i don't know how to position the spring that allows the rails to come back to the previous position if a train manually moves them. the spring came out when i opened the cover, and i don't understand how to put it back, i.e. where to connect the two extremities of the spring. an image / schema /video / whatever can help, would be highly appreciated, thanks,

Fab

Maybe you try a second switch and have a look there. Be careful when open the cover.
Greetings
Martin

Hi Fab
It took a while to come back to you because I am reluctant to open a fonctionning C Track switch
Here is the picture I found on Internet
Sans titre.png
To be fair with the image credits, it comes from https://mobatechnikblog.blogspot.com/

NOTE: in this picture, the switch mechanism is correctly assembled BUT the motor is not (It should be extended)
Never oil the mechanism. Possibly use dry Teflon lubrication

I hope this helps
Cheers
Jean

Jean, that turnout looks broken. Is the tiny black piece upper right the tab for the actuator? I don't see anything that the square hole can grab. On occasion, these bind up, and the solenoid doesn't change the point. A nudge to the manual throw lever usually puts it back in the right movement.
