I admire many of the hobby shop chain offerings available in Germany and presumably elsewhere in Europe.
This 39220 BR218 is an example, in what I consider an attractive blue colour for a private operation.

39220

48017

I do like the rolling stock examples they promote (like the 48017 above).
Mainly because they are something different to the norm.
It is generally not practical for me to get these sent to Australia.

What, not even from the likes of Joes Modellbahnladen?

I would have thought that with the removal of MWsT the postage cost wouldn't be too bad.

If you order the items through someone like Matschke they will hold the items until there is a reasonable size/value package to ship.

I've ordered Eurotrain items through Matschke, mainly the heavy oil wagons. Carsten is very good to deal with and postage is reasonable.

....

Hi Alan,

Ha ha ha ....... yes I am aware of the possible sources.
It is a mixture of thought processes ....
Do I have the room to store them..
How often would I be able to run them ....
Do I really need this item ..
Do I have plenty of these already .. ?

You know the usual conundrums.
