Hello, my Märklin 37921 BR41 dropped from my layout to the floor and the telex coupler lost a part of it (the metal plate inside it), so, I am trying to replace it.

I already got a replacement part 210133 from Märklin for the telex and opened the tender to discover that the internal "Kupplungslager" 210137 and the Telex are not hooked using a screw as it seemed to be, but using a kind of thick/nail.

My question then is: did anyone replace such a telex coupler in this loc or any other similar one? How can I have it out? Should I use a screwdriver or similar tool to put between the 210137 and 210133 and force the separation between them? I don't want to damage any other part of the components.

Thanks for any help.

Javier

Merry Christmas to all

That happened to my 39380 br38 which has a switched digital coupler for car lighting, not telex. It still worls, but not the front headlights. There are so many thin wires in it between the cab and tender.

Hi Javier
Looking at the exploded view diagram (see below) it looks like
- the is a NEM pocket support
- a standard Telex E177993
- a screw (not referenced

Apparently the drawing is not relevant (no thick axle)

I think a simple approach is to leave the NEM pocket in place but extract the previous Telex by squeezing gently the two extremities protruding out the the NEM pocket with a long-nose pliers while pulling gently the Telex. No brute force will do as these parts are fragile

Hi, John, thanks for your fast reply, but the 37921 with its telex coupler DOES NOT have a NEM box as its "family members" have and the explode drawing shows.

The telex coupler is a full part that can be seen in: https://images.app.goo.gl/pn6FHEzJ6H7fff8t8 and the 210137 that is inside the tender and connect to the coupler, can be seen in 26536 BR44 parts list, where, by the way, the "Rastbolzen" 218951 can also be seen.

Question is still how the 210137 and 210133, that are hooked using the 218951 can safely be separated?

Regards
