Hi all,

i'm new to the digital world and i just began with a Marklin digital starter set 29479. I already watched lots of videos on how to automatize the turnouts, and i know what devices i must get for this scope.

I'm having difficulties, though, finding out what i need to command the decoupler (24997) with the Mobile station basic that comes with the starter kit. What devices do i need ? how do i connect them ? i tried to make some researches and it seems that i need a m83 (60832), swtching power supply (66360) and a universal power supply (60822). Maybe even the 60821. Is this right ? do i need all of those devices ? and how do i connect them ? how do i configure them ? how do i register the 24997 so that (i guess) it will be visibile in the mobile station ?

Please if someone can give me some basic info and/or pointing me to a video or document that explains those aspects, i would really appreciate, thanks

Fabrizio

Alternatively, you can buy an old K83 decoder (60830), in which case you only need the two wires for linking the brown and red sockets of the decoder to the 0 and B connectors of the track. There are plenty of them available on eBay.
