Yes but you may find it is better to give them separate addresses. But it does work.

It is true that using a MS2, it may make sense to have the same address for both switches (not easy to make with M83 though unless wiring the 2 motors on the same M83 output).
Many of us start with a simplified control station (MS2) and later use a CS3. With a CS3 it makes sense to use separate addresses for each device.
Just a matter of personal choice.

I have C-track crossovers on my layout and I set both decoders' DIP switches to the same address. Like you I also control my layout with a MS2 and have had no problems with this arrangement at all. It is much more convenient to operate a crossover with just one key press rather than selecting and switching each turnout separately.

Coincidently, I asked this very same question when I first joined the Forum as I was concerned with the current draw of two decoders and two point motors being activated simultaneously. In fact, it was the reason I joined. I continue to learn so much from our amazingly knowledgeable members.

Point decoders now come as mfx so I presume you need to change the sddress.

For old clunkers (like me) using M digital, sharing one k/m83 decoder port is not optimal, as the single power pulse may not be enough to move 2 solenoids of older switches and signals. I defer to others about modern digital track and accessories.
