76200 decoder issue - 76200 decoder on CE800 having problem in AC analog mode

Joined: 08/03/2015(UTC) Posts: 11 Location: Toscana, Pisa		Hello everybody, I installed a Uhlenbrock 76200 decoder on my old CE800. Used in AC analog mode it behaves correctly, allowing direction reversal, but there is a small problem. In order to reverse direction I have to rotate the transformer knob to zero, wait briefly and then push the knob for reversal. If I don't wait (rotating the knob suddenly below zero) there are the lights flashing, with the motor clearly suffering overvoltage, and no reversal takes place. I have a 74120 on another locomotive and this does not happen. Is this peculiar to newer docoders?
