Grief, how did they manage that? Confused Confused Confused

I can understand it happening on a model railway, but prototypes are supposed to have interlocks that won't allow points to change while occupied.

I'd be interested to see the incident reports on those ... BlinkBlushing Huh

"My" incident happened in the early 1970's. The station featured rather old and primitive signalling and interlocking systems, and I think that the main switch/signal tower issued commands to a small sub-station by means of something like a telephone, so there must have been some kind of misunderstanding. The result was certainly model-railway-like, and BTW it can be quite easily "reproduced" on an HO layout with Märklin, Aku, and Roco rolling stock. BigGrin

The vehicle behind the Ae 3/6 II is one of SBB's auxiliary carriages nicknamed "midwife".

When I was a kid, Dad had the American Dixie line gondola and Western Pacific Boxcar. we would run a train up to a passing loop, as it ran by change the turnout, and make the middle of the train go over the passing loop then back onto the mainline. It was lots of fun for a child!

Btw, a d-Zug passenger car or a silberlinge wouldn’t do it, only the two American Wagons.

Yes, the Rc6 1381 as you can see in this clip from the Swedish Television (SVT):

If you cannot see the clip (due to geo restrictions), here is a screenshot from the clip:
