Joined: 08/08/2003(UTC) Posts: 1,614 Location: Birmingham,Alabama		I have seen on a website that this new item for 2006 includes a decoder and a turnout motor in one unit. Is this correct ? If so it seems like a great item. The price is aboutthe same price as a marklin turnout decoder. How do you set the address on Veissman decoders ?

I am guessing that the part number 4554 is for the Marklin c-track system and that more models will follow for other types of track. Maxi

Correct... that's right. About the advantages: 1. Cheaper than having separate decoders/turnout motors. 2. A slowly controlled movement. 3. Fits really well. (At least the ones I've seen presented at the Spielwarenmesse almost a year ago) 4. Programming is done by pussing a small button on the decoder, after having this done, push the button you intend to use to switch the decoder (or send the appropriate signal with your CS/IB/Computer/... ) and the decoder is programmed.
