Happened to see this locomotive for sale on ebay. It's brand new, no box, with tender. I've got it pulling a few freight cars, various types, to break it in. It's an awesome unit. Five pole motor. I received the two enclosures, warranty and maintenance instructions.
I'm curious as to the Marklin Z product number. If anybody can supply any information, be appreciated. Thanks

Hello, hope all is well.

Could you post a photo? Otherwise it is difficult to know which one this might be.

Much of the information about the Marklin z scale locomotives are number driven. Basically, you need to know the number to get anywhere with regard to further information about an item.

You could use Mikado as your search word on these sites. Remember all Marklin mini club items start with an 8. Items which start with another number are different scales.

https://www.lokmuseum.de...te=&SID=15173891935f

The Marklin site: they list a few Mikado locomotives with 5 pole motors. Add mikado to input box on upper right.

For a reference book on z, check this site:

https://www.modellplan.de/oscmp/de/

Unfortunately, just found in the German language. They have a large book and ebooks which include photos.

You may come across the information you are looking for. Perhaps others on the forum will have further suggestions.

Thanks. Take good care.

Hi. Could be this one from a set, but sold on eBay without the rest of the pieces.

Take good care.

Researched on Marklin's site. The product number is 88812. The locomotive was a limited edition, not produced anymore. It was a three-piece offering including a caboose. Varified 5-pole motor. So that answers my questions. Thanks for the responces.
