640 keyboard used for analog switches???

Joined: 03/01/2021(UTC) Posts: 38 Location: Texas, Washington		I know this is probably a stupid question. My brother has given me his analog Marklin train set along with a 6023 digital central unit and a 6040 keyboard. The engines are digital, but the switches are analog. Is it possible to hook up analog switches to the 6040 keyboard? I do have the analog boxes as well, but it would be nice to be able to use the whole digital unit together.

Joined: 09/08/2008(UTC) Posts: 1,729 Location: Auckland,		You need to buy some k83 decoders to drive the switches. One k83 will drive four switches, and the 6040 keyboard you have can control four k83 decoders.
