Joined: 20/01/2010(UTC) Posts: 125 Location: Thessaloniki, Greece		I have a Central Station 1 60212 updated with ESU Reloaded and an Ecosboost booster. If I change the CS1 with a CS2 or a CS3, the booster will be compatible or should I buy Marklin's boosters?

Joined: 04/02/2011(UTC) Posts: 3,132 Location: Paris, France		Hi Marklin CS1 60212 was an ESU product, both Märklin CS2 (60213 to 60215) and CS3 (60216, 60226) are compatible with Märklin boosters. So you may have to buy them (60175) if you plan for a CS3. If you plan to buy a CS2, I recommend avoid units without galvanic separation (all 60213 and early 60214) Galvanic separation is indicated by two intersecting circles . Cheers Jean

Joined: 17/09/2006(UTC) Posts: 18,665 Location: New Zealand		The Ecosboost will physically plug into a CS2 / CS3's port, but the CS2 / CS3 software does not recognise the Ecosboost so you cannot use an Ecosboost with the CS2 or CS3. You still have a very capable controller with the CS1 Reloaded, I wouldn't be in a hurry to replace it unless you have irreparable hardware issues with it.
