Hello all,
We are happy to announce that we had our first Märklin meeting at my apartment on 26th of September. Through this community I got introduced to 4 new members namely Ashok, Ranjit, Deepak and Pradeep. As many of them were out of station, only Ashok could make it. With a cup of coffee we discussed about trains and layouts. Ashok had got his SNCF and KLVM along. We ran his locos on my layout (my layout under construction). It was an evening well spent with a fellow rail road enthusiast. Here are a few pics from our meeting. More pics to follow once Ashok shares his clicks. Looking forward to more meetings. Thank you Ashok!

Great to see another community having a get together.

It helps to share the appreciation we have of our trains.

Yes. We are trying to popularize this passion as much as possible through the social channels. It's funny when my friends and relatives ask "are you doing this for your kid?, how much did you pay for that black and red train? Once you complete this layout what next? What fun do you find in watching these trains running around in loops and so on..". Their reaction is quite interesting when they get to hear the answers for the above questions:) We hope to network with more and more MRRs in the coming years.

The astonishing thing about Madhu's layout is that it's almost entirely scratch built and there are some structures that you are unlikely to see anywhere else, like a temple, a traditional Kerala (an Indian state) house... and the most typical of all, a telephone booth for making long distance calls! It's taken a while to get these photos up - my internet went down for 2 weeks! Here are some of the pictures that I took when we met at Madhu's place. There's also a picture of the creator of this wonderful layout!
