Folks;

Has anyone tried the Kato Sound Box or something similar? This product is designed for people who run analogue that want a level of realistic sound as well. I would be curious to understand the effect and quality of sounds.

Noch also used to produce a Sound Station. I believe that the second version could handle steam and diesel locos as well as some ambient sounds (17 sounds in total). However, discussions on the Model Railways of Germany forum seemed to suggest that the sound levels were rather low - it seemed that the consensus solution was to strip soundtracks off the web and play them on mini mp3 players placed on/underneath layouts.
