Hi,

I'm adding lighting to my Roco Lyntog, currently working on the rear coach with the pick-up shoe, but I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to get power to the other coaches? I have been Googling for ages but I don't think Roco has electric fixed "rod" couplers for this? Also, would I need both power and return, or is there a ground spring I can fit to the other coaches?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hey Morsing,

As you can imagine, adding shoes to every car is going to add drag and take more power from the lok. If you cannot find current-conducting couplers, another idea would be to wire each car for the lights and leave 2 wires at the end of each car to connect to the other car. I have seen modelers use Märklin/Brawa-type connectors to do this. if you're careful, you can configure the wires and electric couplers so that they can't be seen. Might take some time, but I'm sure you're capable.

Good luck!

Paul
