I have a digital CS2 60653 connected to my layout via 60113.

Recently bought some signals - 74391 & 74380 alongwith switch 72750 - these are all second hand

Now my question is how do i connect the signals - what i have already done is as follows -
signals connected to switch 72750,
the 3 wire pin connected to switch 72750 - the other end - the 3 individual wires how and where do i connect - manual says connect to transformer.
now as i have only CS2 and 60113 - and no other transformers or switches or control boxes

do i need something else or am i doing something wrong

After the above is setup - my next problem is setting up some new viesmann signals - also second hand. Will ask for details once above are setup.

Thanks a ton.

Good morning!
The signalbox 72750 is now out of the stock at Märklin.
This box is only working with the analog power.
Yours 60653 is an MS2,not CS2!
If you want to control yours analog signals digital,i suggest you buy an digital switch decoder m84 catalognr 60841.

Now about to control signals via signal box,is to use analog power and you need an extern trafo.

Ok - so i need a m84 (60841) - then 72750 will not be required i suppose

Do i also need to get 60822 - power supply to connect the m84 or can it be connected via 60113

Also what connectors or cables extra will i need

Another question - i got some Viesmann signals (second hand) with the marklin signals -
viesmann distant signal - 4010 and control box 5220 and 5547
viesmann block signal - 4011 and control box 5221
viesmann signal 4701

what do i need to connect these to my marklin digital layout

Good afternoon!
Power supply with the 60822 and 66361 is for to feed external power to the decoder 60841,when you don´t want to use digital feeder power to 60841.
It depends how much power there is left from the digital system.
You need digital power to feed digital locomotives, right?
So to use external power to the 60841,you need 66361 and 60822.
When you buy 60822,the cables to connect follows in the package.

Now about Viessmanns light signals.
You can visit theirs homepage and just write signals catalognr in the search,it shows up with possible to download manual and it shows how to connect the wires with the signal box and decoder.

Thanks a lot Goofy.

I am in India and am not aware of the control boxes etc i need - also i procure all the stuff from eurorailhobbies

I have upto now tried to just expand on the tracks, locos and rolling stock - my very modest inventory bought over the last 4 years is as follows -
locos - 6 including one Crocodile 37568 and one steam loco 37956
rolling stock - about 20 of them
tracks - about 180 pieces - including 3 full circles of 24130, 1 full circle of 24230, 24330 & 24430, about 70 straight and 10 turnouts and some small ones
3 power 66361 (using only one for the complete layout)
1 MS2 60653 with 60113
3 infra red remote controls - which i do not use now after i got the MS2

Thats about it -
now recently bought some signals and control boxes -
MArklin 74391 & 74380 alongwith switch 72750
Viesmann - 4010, 4011, 4071 and control boxes 5220, 5221, 5547

Connection diagrams are there with me but i think i am missing some cables and connectors.

One thing understood - need to get is m84 (60841) and 60822 power supply. I already have 3 of 66361 (recd with the 3 starter sets i bought - included in my inventory as above).

If i connect the signal and the track from 2 different power sources will it not clash and short circuit?

Also - can i connect the viesmann signals to the same power supply?

Oh - one more thing my layout is not a permanent as of now - i am just collecting and set up temporary layouts when i get some time - then dismantle and keep it away. After i have substantial stuff - will then plan out a more permanent layout. By the time I should be more comfortable with all the connections etc.

Please Guide and help me set up the signals

I shall try to help you.
The track do have digital power and MUST NOT USE TOGETHER WITH THE EXTERNAL POWER SOURCE!!
To connect the signals must been done by of decoder m84,if not less you decides to use analog external power with the 72750 and one trafo.
If you want to control isolated track too with the signal,i suggest with the decoder m84.
Of course you can do this with the 72750 too!

Viessmann do have only light functions, which means you need signal modul(box) to control the lighting effect.
This can been done too with the digital decoder, like m84.
Viessmanns signals do have one common connect, while other is for color light.
If you visit Viessmanns homepage, you find better solution with theirs manual.

Yours layout as temporary can been solved with the D-sub connection,so you can just connect with the other connections.
Just soldering with the thin wires to the D-sub connect.
