I don't know if you seen this, but the new Insider 3/2015 is online in the Club Area.

Donald Duck "Lufthansa Express" for club members is the thing in this edition.

Having now seen one in the 'flesh', (a young member of our club had the Insider DD running at a recent session of our modular layout) it looks better than what I thought from the pictures, but still not enough to make me want to buy one.

Here's a (not so good - taken with the mobile phone) picture of the DD going over the Bietschtal bridge on my module.

I suspect that is part of the reason it got its 'Donald Duck' nickname ... Laugh Laugh Laugh

Insider pack for 03/2015 arrived today.

Inside is the Insider Magazine with the Donald Duck "Lufthansa Express" on the front cover, plus order forms for it. Also included is a new 'Year with Marklin DVD' and the Marklin Magazine. The Magazine has a feature article about rail freight traffic with a picture of a red Br151 electric passing underneath a Faller 'Bietschtal' bridge model.

Hi Friends. This is a photo of the "Donald Duck" LH Airport Express. I was in Cologne for the Model Railway Exhibition in Oct. of 1987. I took this

photo right after I got off the train at Cologne Main Station. It was a great ride from Frankfurt Airport and then up the Rhine. I remember that this train

just seemed to glide along very smoothly. I am looking forward to now owning both of the LH Airport Expresses. PeterCool

A nice big white envelope with red lettering arrived today ,at least Oz is receiving our's in a timely manner compared to other issue's . Posted in Zurich also so that may be the reason for quick arrival down under .

Now to sit back & have a read of the abbreviated English version .

Cheers Tom in Oz .

The DB Donald Duck, "The forgotten star".
Probably the first European high speed train.
I like this clip,it has a certain sadness over items lost forever in time.

The restored programme for ET403 seems to have been progressing for a long time but the new painting is different from DB or Lufthansa color scheme.

Can someone who knows german help to explain the programme ?

There is a lot of German writing there, which is easy for me to read, but translating will need some time and i wonder whether that will serve a purpose.
Statement is made that the complete train will arise from the ashes in 2015,that is all.

In the past they usually said the deadline was extended due to large demand.

I wonder what they say this time.
Regards
Tom

I have had it on order since the day it first appeared. It's due out next month. I think Lokshop is holding off on shipping my current order

until it arrives. I'm looking forward to it very much. Peter Cool
