SBB Ce 6/8 crocodile color change

Joined: 09/04/2012(UTC) Posts: 1,343 Location: Southwest Ohio		I have Googled this, but have not found an answer. Does anyone know the approximate year the SBB started to change the color on the Ce and Be 6/8 crocodiles from brown to green?
		Matt Era 3 DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control. With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

Joined: 16/02/2004(UTC) Posts: 15,276 Location: DE-NW		After 1928, new locos were painted green (all crocodiles were delivered in brown). Existing locos were painted green with the next major revision. I don't know when the first or last crocodile lost its brown colour. The Ce 6/8 III had been made 1926 and '27, so the brown paint probably lasted several years.
