I have Googled this, but have not found an answer.
Does anyone know the approximate year the SBB started to change the color on the Ce and Be 6/8 crocodiles from brown to green?

But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

After 1928, new locos were painted green (all crocodiles were delivered in brown).
Existing locos were painted green with the next major revision. I don't know when the first or last crocodile lost its brown colour.
The Ce 6/8 III had been made 1926 and '27, so the brown paint probably lasted several years.

Tom
