Hi everyone. I just want to ask you if any of you own a Mega Digital Starter Set with a 60214 CS2 included.

If you do, then how is your set? That is, do you think it's a good deal in terms of everything that comes with it?

Also, does anybody know which version of the CS2 comes with 29440? Is it 60214, or 60215?

Cheers!

Tadzio.

Hi Tadzio

Yes I have the set 29500 which is the predecessor of 29440 really. I built it in reverse as I had bought an unboxed 60214 the year before and then bought the rest of the set components later! It's a great set to have.

I think 29440 comes with a 60215, but for HO there is no real difference as it is recommended to use the 5 amps only for Gauge 1 or LGB.

If you can get a good price on 29440 then go for it, but there will always be mega start sets around.

Regards
Ashley

I also have 29500 (as does our MMRC Club). I like the set overall, and the cost is certainly cheaper than buying everything separately. I was disappointed that the 60214 CS2 came with a very early hardware version - v3.1, since the 5 amp version (v4.31 and above) had been announced by the time the set was made available.

I think all the sets are coming with 60215 now, but it would be best to get your dealer to check first.
