I ordered a 60215 central station in early 2011. It has been on back order ever since. I would like to know when Marklin plans to ship the 60215. Also, what additional hardware do I need to support 4 60174 boosters?

Peter,

The lasy I knew about the 60215 is that they were waiting on FCC approval but I thought that would have been done by now.

As for what you need to connect 4 60174 boosters to the CS2, I believe it is the 60125 terminal module. It connects to the CAN bus on the CS2 and gives you 4 additional outputs. There is also a connection to add another 60215.

Have a look at the 2012 new items catalog. There is a new item only for the US market. My guess is that when this item enters production US dealers will get the 60215 in stock.

Hello Peter,
I picked up my 60215 while in Germany near the end of August last year. Works great.

For the use of the four Marklin 60174 Booster's you need the 60125 Terminal.
In the future you can build in more Booster's by adding a 60125 Terminal to
the Marklin BUS-net as shown in the picture of Marklin's Structure for the
CS2.

Hello Frank,
Quick question. Will one 60125 support all four 60174 bossters or do you need two of them?
Thanks

You can connect up to 4 Marklin 60174 Booster's for each 60125 Terminal you may have in your Marklin BUS-net system.

When you use af second 60125 Terminal you can build in 4 more 60174 Booster's or other Marklin Unit's like for example :

Marklin 60128 Connect6021
Marklin 60652 Mobilestation 1 + Adaptercable 60124 (Up to 4 devices on each 60125 Terminal)
Marklin 60653 Mobilestation 2 + Adaptercable 60124 (Up to 4 devices on each 60125 Terminal)

There may in the future come more Marklin Units, which also can connect to the Marklin 60125, but as of today this
the only possible solutions i know of.

Here is another picture showing you the possible connections with a 60125 Terminal.

In addition to the use of the SystemBus 9-pin output and 60125 extensions, the CS2 also has one native 7 pin port labelled for "Booster 60173" (but also allows a 3rd MS (with the 7-10 pin 60124)).

Thus-
- Someone can upgrade to one booster without immediately needing a 60125 splitter
- have an auxillary MS close to the CS2 without the cable getting in the was as it does by using the front ports.

If you were desperate and not adverse to "do this at your own risk" surgery, then the plugs can be cut off the devices (Boosters, MSs) and the 7 wires all soldered like for like. There is no electronics in the 60125, all the outputs are direct wires from the input. 2 of the 9 wires to the 60125 are duplicates for better transmision of the power rails, otherwise it only has 7 operative conductors.
