Hi,

I am pretty new to the Digital track.
I have a couple of old Analog trains that I need to convert to
Digital.

What decoder do I need and how can I do it myself?

Hello,

Can you be more specific? What is a 6302? (did you mean 3602?)

If you give us the exact locos, preferably posting photos, it is easier for us to help you with your decoder requirements.

I guess the question is about an E 63 02.

There are many different decoders that could be used.

I think I'd go for an ESU #52631 set with the cable set ESU #51950.

That decoder supports MM and DCC, but no mfx.
