I have a VT 87 (37265). I am getting a Kittel (37253). I have 2 4335 red passenger cars. All are the red colour that applied to branch lines. Would the cars have been added to a Kittel or to a VT 87?

Hi,

I add one coach to my DRG Kittel; prototypically acceptable. But I don't know about VT87.

Thank you Cem,

I realise my typing errors may have misled some readers. "BD" should have been "DB" VT 87 should have been ET 87

My ET 87 has no couplers in the pockets, and none came in the box with it. I take that to mean it did not pull a car. That makes some sense, as it would make it difficult to use the double end controls. It would need to turn around.

Hi Dreadnought,
Sorry for not using your real name - the site doesn't allow me to open your profile.
37265 is shown on the Märklin website "with" couplers.
I think it would be perfectly OK to run that VT87 with extra cars, especially the red ones. In fact, I believe that was why they were painted red, to add to any red rail cars to preserve symmetry.

You could run green ones too.

By they way, you can edit your topic name, by using the Edit Topic.

Kimball
