Ok

I was wondering since the class 39 has been announced as a insider model,is it worth getting the insider one or wait till it is in normal production since I have a pretty tight budget how much will the Insider class 39 cost in NZD?

Alex, the Insider models are usually sold at a premium price. So, expect between 400 to 500 euros for one. This would equate to $1000 to $1300 NZD.

I'm not sure if a price has been anounnced for the BR39.

The adviced retail price of the new BR 39 has already been announced and amounts to 399,95 Euro, perhaps the actual price one pays will be a bit lower.

Hi
I'll pass on the insider model this year and wait until this model is reissued in its original Prussian livery.
Best regards,
Armando García

Is there any chance that Marklin may announce a KPEV/K.Bay.Sts class 39?

Probably the KPEV/K.Bay.Sts will look better than this years insider class 39

A model in K.Bay.Sts livery is unlikely (coz there was no such prototype - but nothing is really impossible with M*).

I'm not sure if they already have the appropriate tank car for a KPEV version. Personally I think there will be a KPEV version (but I don't have inside information).

Does anyone know if the original version of this Prussian locomotive (KPEV)have a different tender than the one that will be used by Märklin for the Era III model?
Best regards,
Armando García

ERA III tender for the 39 is a 2'2 T34 Standard DB tender which were used on the 01,03,41,50 and maybe the 52 as well

Thanks for the link. The Fleischmann model of this 39 locomotive is very impressive. I hope that Marklin will follow suit next year.

You could start saving now for this locomotive in Era I. It should be issued next year, or maybe even later this year. Or you could consider also dropping your girlfriend.biggrin
Best regards,
Armando García

Yes. Yes.
(Yes, I know! Yes, it was different.)

Initial tender: pr. 2'2' T 31.5
Later tender: 2'2' T 34

Looks like the tender that comes with the new P 8 is a pr. 2'2' T 21.5 which is smaller, but looks very similar.
The pr. 2'2' T 31.5 was also used with the P 8 - so M* could make several new models with this new type of tender.

Tom
