Hello Everyone,
I'm chasing a source of traction tyres. Specifically part number 120 491 for the OBB 1012 Elok 37308.

The Marklin website tells me they are not available, and can't seem to find anything via Google, so I'm wondering if other brands would be suitable, or if anyone happens to have a couple sitting around?
Do other manufacturers use a sizing guide?

I've got a damaged one and get a clicking sound with every wheel revolution. Can't leave it off as it seems to affect the ride height and the bogie fouls the track...
Any advice? or alternatives?

Regards,

Eddy

Hi,

I am not a specialist of recent models,
but it is so strange Märklin did not used the standard traction tires references.

I found another "Haftreifen" reference (but also unavailable) :

So, maybe this locomotive was a partnership with another model train brand,
Austria -> Roco ?
This way maybe this is a Roco reference to find (not the same listed by Märklin of course).

Best Regards
Joël

Maybe this is a Trix development.

Hi
I learned in another tread here to use suitable heat shrink sleeves. A little lower diameter than wheels. Cut with scissors. No shrinking. Works fine for me.

Hi All,
Many thanks for the quick responses. After I posted this I then searched for the wheelset part number and found some in Italy. (https://www.ebay.com.au/str/coccodrillo114) They will hopefully be winging their way to Tasmania in the next few days!

Regards

Eddy

I use heatshrink tube which is a bit under size & stretch over the wheel:

P.S. Ewillis, that was a quick like! (even before I did a modest edit of the post!!!)
