After a long time, the beautiful Piko 51811 110 469-4 TRI has arrived as a new addition. As you can see from the item number, it is the AC version with Piko Smart Decoder 4.1 from the factory, which is suitable for mfx.

The factory-set driving characteristics under DCC 128 driving stages are very nice. Creeping at driving stage 1 is almost possible without jerking. There are no dropouts on switches. The acceleration from driving stage 1 to the highest driving stage is nice and even. The factory-set top speed was set a bit too low. The braking delay is set a bit too high, even if it probably corresponds to the prototype. The long skid rattles less than usual with this long skid variant. Piko would be well advised to install a whisper skid.

I have turned off the mfx function and Railcom via CV programming, as mfx does not work so well (registration takes a very long time and only works after the third attempt) and Railcom is not needed.

The switchable functions are: Light on / off, red tail light on / off per side, cab lighting, engine room lighting, and a switching flash.
