Sugar Cane is grown in Australia, predominately in Queensland, where I live. The cane is transported, at least in Bundaberg where this video was taken, by train to the crushing mill. On properties that are on the cane train line, the cut cane is loaded onto the wagons that are kept in sidings on the property until the locomotive collects them. The alternative approach is to load the cane into the wagons, which are then rolled onto a semi-trailer, which then takes these to a siding where they are rolled onto the rail line for the loco. The second video shows a truck unloading wagons at the siding near the mill.

The cane train with empty wagons coming from the mill.

The truck unloading a set of full wagons onto the siding.

I don't expect that this would ever be modelled by Marklin, but it would make a very interesting layout.
