A regional train like this one then took us on our next venture from Zürich to Visp :



At Visp we changed to a narrower gauge railway with a loco more inclined to handle the gradient :



which then took us to Zermatt :





where we had a nice stay in view of The Matterhorn (just like on your layout, John - Johnvr ) :



Thereafter we embarked on the Glacier Express :







We had taken the Glacier Express trip 40 years ago during which I convinced a railway official
to give me this great poster from his wall which has since adorned the wall of my train rooms :



Our coach this time was more comfortable, with a nice degustation meal spread over much of the journey :





As before, the scenery was beautiful :







at the end of the journey we changed trains at St.Moritz and returned to Zürich HB on this train :



where we saw more locos and trains :
