Hi Jaime,

Personally I wouldn't worry about it unless you want to automate the roundhouse. The old control box still does the job and from what I gather a lot less hassle.

If however you want to go to computer control then yes but there are alternatives to the 7687 that you will find mentioned in other threads on the subject. I believe the new version of the 7687 is less problematic than the original.
Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under .

Thanks for the info Shamu. I'll just wait and give the control box a try.

I have 7687 working OK with CS2 but I can't get track 1-to 24.

Manual of 7687 in PDF (copy and paste the link below).

If you want to Control the Marklin 7286 TT with CS2 with a good Turntable-Decoder, try looking at this Website :

http://www.ldt-infocenter.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=en:tt-dec

LDT TT-DEC ( Turntable Decoder for Marklin 7286/7686 )

This TT-Decoder works much better than the Marklin 7687 TT-Decoder and have more options.

We use this TT-Decoder on the Modeltrain layout and it works perfect without any Problems.

Hi Lopez,

I just recently installed the 7687 with my 7286. Works flawlessly. Don't think you'll have any problems. Enjoy.
If everything's under control, you're just not going fast enough.

yes they work fine initially, then they would forget all the programming. Perhaps they have fixed that problem now.

I don't know when you installed yours, Dale. I've never had mine forget the programming. Of course, I've only had mine installed for 4 months. Maybe you were just unlucky, maybe they improved the code, maybe I still got problems to come. Time will tel.

I did used an digital turntable from the Märklin, but TT decoder was crap.
It didn´t worked as it should do.
If i want to use Märklins TT,i would go for the analog control and feed the bridge with the digital power.
