This set was produced in 1990 and 1991 as a limited train set for Luxemburg.

Locomotive CFL 455:


This model is version 4 of  Märklin 3136
2846 may contain version three or four of this locomotive.  The difference is as far as I know  only one:

Version 3: the number plate on the front end is 9 mm wide
Version 4: the number plate on the front end is 7 mm wide, mine is 7 mm.

The trackCleaning car:

This is a unique car for the 21846 train set.  The pick-up shoe is installed by me.

Except for the Christmas car  48401 from 2001 I have not seen this design used on other Märklin cars.

This car is version 8 of Märklin 4644

This car is version 9 of Märklin 4644

This car is version 10 of Märklin 4644
