Märklin 43138 and 43139
These were MHI limited car sets in 1997.
In germany, these caes were often referred to as "Donnerbüchse", which I have seen translated to "thunderboxes". This was probably due to a high noise level.
I have installed interior light and current conducting couplers.
They will be powered from baggage car Märklin 4103, see below,
3 of these cars came to Norway with the Germans during the second world war and were used by NSB after the war.
Märklin43138-1, DB BC1 - 2+3 class 35 509
L = 16 cm. The interior light is 28 Volts, as I prefer a rather dim light
in these old cars.
Märklin 43138-2. DB Ci 3. class 83 913
L = 16 cm.
Märklin 43139-1. DB Ci 3. class 84 099
L = 16 cm.
Märklin 43139-2. DB CCltr 3. class, with cargo
department, 83 323
L = 16 cm.
These cars will go well with 43138 and 43139:
Märklin 4101, DRG Ci 29 85213
L = 16,0 cm. Interior light, current from Märklin 4103. Standard model
1981-1989.
This became NSB BF3 or CF 3 19 918 after WW2. Some of them were rebuilt by
installing end walls and side doors at the end platforms.
Roco has made a model of the Norwegian variant of these cars:
Roco 4201C, NSB BF3 19 914
L = 16 cm.
Märklin 4103. DRG Pwi 30 114 327
L = 16 cm. Standard model 1981-1989.
A Märklin function decoder 60960 and a small relay is installed for light
control:
f1 = relay on/off for current to the connected cars
f2 = Light conductor's department
f3 = light luggage department
f4 = rear red light.
This car may also be used:
Märklin 4316, DB Pwi 114 837
L = 16 cm. No function decoder yet, so the rear lights are constantly on.
Standard model 1992 - 2006.
i think the cars will be pulled by this:
Primex 33005, DB 023 033-4
L = 24,5 cm. Special Primex model made by Märklin 2000 - 2001.
