Märklin 4035:
This set was on the market gtom 1994 to 1999. I got mine for Christmas in
1996.
The box has a transparent lid, therefore some reflexes.. I do not know if
the car positions in the box are the initial ones. I may have moved them
around.
I have installed close couplers on the cars.
Train length = 45 cm,

The pick-up shoe is installed by me. So is the happy conductor.
L = 14,2 cm.
This car holds a decoder for interior light, as well as a relay for power supply
to the connected cars, thus the black wire to the right in the photo.
The baggage car will run at the rear end of the train,
Detail about the digital conversion
This car has also got a small rear red light.
I do not know if these cars ever ran with such a rear red light, but I have seen
something similar in some old photos.
Märklin 4035-3, KPEV 1st + 2nd class 1235
This is 4035 version 3, L = 11 cm.
4035 version 2 had transparent background behind the number.
I have obviously meant this car at the front end of the train, as it has no
black wire to connect to the next car.
With interior light
My philosophy regarding old style coaches and interior light is that it was
probably not visible from the outside at day time, and generally rather dim.
i therefore use 28 volt bulbs.
Märklin 4035-5, KPEV 3RD CLASS 1418

the train.
4035 version 4 had transparent number sign background.
With interior light

my train.

details see here. I have removed the front coupler and installed a
close coupler at the rear end.
