Märklin 003800
Limited s"Sondermodell" locomotive set in 2003, only 2003 sets were made.
I bought it in Oslo in 2006.
Two display tracks are included in the set.
The yellowish tint in the photo comes from a roof lamp I forgot to switch off.
00380-1, DB Br38 38 1967
Different variants of this locomotive has been produced by Märklin since the
introduction in 1967, when the 3098 was launched. Therefore the locomotive number 38 1967.
This locomotive had a Delta decoder originally fitted. I have
converted it to digital with the Märklin conversion set 60903.
L = 23,7 cm.
I have installed a cllose coupler on the tender.
00380-2, DRG DB Br 38, 38 2003
he new variant, with completely new tooling, was introduced in 2003, hence the
38 2003 locomotive number. L = 21,8 cm.
This is originally fitted with a high power propulsion unit, so I found no
reason for any changes.
