The BR 03.10 was the lightweight version of the heavier BR 01.10. After
the WW 2, the streamlined locos were stripped of their streamlined casing
and spent their last days as normal locos... The 3089 came in the
early 70:s in Märklin program and the streamlined 03.10 has appeared in
several updated versions since then... This is a black version.

A good representative of the older
standards, much metal - little detail...

It is a sturdy loco that can take a beating when children handle it. The
newer reworked versions of 03.10 than came in the 1990:s are better
looking, and have DCM motor. The 3094 is not a fragile "model",
more like a sturdy "toy". But as a "toy" it performs
its duties with excellence thanks to the powerful motor. Unfortunately my
particular model has a very worn cogwheel made of plastic so it just sits
and makes noise... If I compare it with the 3089, the 3089 has all
metal gears... I suspect this one came from some starter kit.
