The Swedish Litt DA, compared between one variation of the 1950's and one from the 1960's. The loco is an electric loco, with one motor driving a blind wheel axle, which drives 3 other axles by coupling rods.

Derails 3 It may fall over in curves.
Speed  4 Can't go slow speed.
Detailing 4
Model choice 3 An electric with special wheel arrangement, the blind wheel and coupling rods.
Features 2
Playability 4 Metal. Even the pantographs still are OK after 40 years.
Fun for children 3
Over all 4 Very good but not unique.

The cover is metal, and the high point of gravity makes it possible to fall over in curves, as it makes good speed.

The separate mounting of the lamps is rather special, they have to be inserted from outside after the shell has been mounted, with four extra screws. Then pantographs differ too; the older locos has a single bar in contact with the catenary. The older has a manual direction change lever below the cover. And it has always been faster in one direction
