Hi,

I have the Track Maintenance Models models from Kibri mentioned below, but since kibri models are not motorised, I'm going to need a Märklin Diesel Locomotive.

Plasser & Theurer 09-3x Track Maintenance Machine with Integrated Dynamic Stabilisation Trailer (Kibri 16090);
Plasser & Theurer 09-3x Track Maintenance Machine - (Kibri 16050);
Plasser & Theurer DGS 62N Dynamic Track Stabiliser (Kibri 16070);
Plasser & Theurer MTW 100.083 Overhead Catenary Maintenance Vehicle (Kibri 16080);
Plasser & Theurer Track Profile Machine USP 2000 SWS (Kibri 16060).
etc

What Märklin Diesel Locomotive do you recommend to be used with this type or maintenance equipments from DB Bahnbau?

Thanks in advance
Regards,
Ayala Botto

Hi!

Märklin 37742 is a yellow BR 218 from DB Bahnbau.
There also was a yellow BR 216 from German company Wiebe or French company TSO.

Here's a picture of the 37742 as it is not in the Marklin Database..

Taken from a current ebay listing at http://www.ebay.com.au/i...&hash=item3a82045dc4

Hi,

Thanks for your comments.
Although not from DB Banhbau, I thought the Märklin Diesel BR 212 V100 from DB with the red livery, could also be used with maintenance equipment.

What do you think?
I fact some of the Plasser & Theurer Maintenance models from Kibri are from DB and others from DB Bahnbau...

Thanks

Ayala Botto

BR 212 will be OK, several BR 212 are used for such tasks (but they don't have the original DB logo, but similar logos with other letters).

I seldom visit this site any more, although I still do buy my marklin (but not as much as before)
Anyways, I am surprised at the answers given
You need to check out SB Modellbau

http://www.sb-modellbau.com/index.php?cPath=256_69

This page should give all their conversion kits to motorize several of the kibri track maintenance models. Several are even offered for 3-rail AC. I have bought a couple kits and their service was good.
The kibri kits really need a good paint job and some weathering - without they are ugly plastic.

Just FYI, Viessman makes the fully motorized "functional" version.
An amazing attention catcher on any layout.

Hi,

And what about the DB AG AW Meiningen BR 202 Diesel Locomotive?
UserPostedImage

It's a good option to use in a composition of Track Maintenance Equipments?

Thanks.

I'm afraid it is not.
AW Meiningen is the #1 steam loco maintenance facility. I don't think they lend their loco for track maintenance trains (but OTOH I do not know they do not).

Hi,

Märklin 36216 V160 Br216 Diesel locomotive in red paint scheme is also a good option?

Thanks.
