Today is a special day for the Rambolitrain Museum.

You can have a ride in old cars,
watch a lot of live-steam trains.

I was there !

I was there in June 2000.

I enjoyed it very much and of course I bought the Museum car too!

Cheers

Hi Renato
I'm not sure this wagon is still available.
I didn't see it this time.

STOP!
A almost jumped half a meter out of my chair!
THAT layout contains bits and pieces of the famous Cachin and Darphin layout!!!
I have a MIBA special magazine almost entirely dedicated to a former layout by these folks.

In fact, I am so inspired by their layout, that I am currently working on a 0-scale 3x1 meter diorama containing "Royville" station, Hotel "Chat noir", a small Citroën dealership and many other details.

Here´s a piece of some rolling stock that I am working on for the diorama;

The plan is for the whole diorama to be on a public LEGO-show in Madrid at the end of Noviembre. -Of course with a mention and dedication of and to Cachin and Darphin!

@Trainride; I see that this museum is located in "Isle de France", which I understand is the close surroundings of Paris. Correct¿? Anyway, thank you for bringing this up!

Hi Henrik

Great Work ThumpUp
But I still don't understand the relation between Lego an this thread.
Why don't you open a topic about it ?
I'd have prefer some photos of the Miba book to see what's the matter.

At the Rambolitrain Museum, there are no plastic bricks, but a lot of old tin-plate Märklin
an other models.

I'll add more pics later.

Anyway, good luck for the Madrid show...

Best regards
Joël

The relation is in the NAMES mentioned in my post. You may or may not be aware of it, but Darphin and Cachin are ICONS in the model railway world. Not only becuase of their huge 0-scale collection, but also for the quality of their scratchbuild stuff and decoration.
It is totally clear that the Rambolit layout includes broken up pieces from a former layout made by this couple.

If the Madrid-event goes well, and I get sufficient train-orientated photos, I will publish a thread elsewhere here.

Unfortunatly I dont have a flat-bed scanner with which to share the pictures from the magazine. I think it is in MIBA Special #5 or #7.
Best regards
