Hi, folks,

Märklin published the six top favourites of the Insider Model Poll:
  • E 95
  • V 320
  • streamlined BR 06
  • powered rail car class 403 (era IV)
  • BR 58
  • ET 30.

And AFAIK one of these six will be the 2012 Insider Model.

Which is your personal favourite, which would you like to see from Märklin in 2012?
Only judge by your taste and preference and ignore all "politics" and other brands etc. (there is a different poll for that.)
Regards
Tom

Tom,

My first choice would be ET 403, second choice between R 58 and E 95) with the last 2 choices it would depend what motor they have.

Br 58 for me. I've always wondered why Marklin have made it in 1 and Z gauge but not in HO.

Yes, like Jeremy, I voted for none, hoping that will save me from spending money in 2012.

Hi everybody!

Your favourites:
1st BR 58 (46 %)
2nd BR 06 (16 %)
3rd BR V 320 & BR 403 (13 % each)
5th BR E 95 (6 %)
6th BR ET 30 (3 %)

And the model you expect:
1st BR 58 (38 %)
2nd BR 06 (19 %)
3rd BR 403 (16 %)
4th BR E 95 (12 %)
5th BR V 320 & BR ET 30 (6 % each)

More people prefer the BR 58 or the BR V 320 than actually expect it.

The favourites on Stummi's Forum:
1st. BR 403 (35 %)
2nd BR 58 (22 %)
3rd BR V 320 (15 %)
4th BR ET 30 (12 %)
5th BR E 95 & BR 06 (8 % each)

And the model they expect on Stummi's Forum:
1st BR 403 (38 %)
2nd BR 58 (28 %)
3rd BR ET 30 (11 %)
4th BR V 320 (10 %)
5th BR 06 (9 %)
6th BR E 95 (5 %)

The results on Stummi's Forum are quite different: BR 58 is only second and is less wanted than expected.

The Insider Model 2012 will probably be announced this month, maybe even this week.
Then we'll know if the polls have any value.
Regards
Tom

Br 58 is my 2nd choice. Maybe they will produce both, since we have had 2 Insider models each year in recent times.

Regardless, I will be watching with interest.

By joining the Insider Club. Talk to Dion regarding this.

Or, you can wait until they appear on ebay, as dealers look to sell off models ordered but not sold.

Here you find more than six:
https://www.marklin-user...or-Marklin-Insiders.aspx
There were 16 locos in the original poll (which is no longer available on Märklin's website).

The E95.

Brawa issued this in three versions this year and since getting one a 43027, its become my favourite engine.
But I don't think its popular enough for Marklin to do one also.
