Has anyone in the forum been fortunate enough to see this show first-hand?

http://www.mythos-maerklin.de/informationen.html

I found the info by accident while searching for other info on Marklin's Gauge 5 (120mm) Trains and I see there is apparently one on display.

What an awesome show to be able to see but only on until July so be quick.

I'm sure many of you know about the previously unknown one that sold ten years ago by Christie's, but here's a link for those who missed it....

That collection of the "Mythos Marklin" is actually a portion of the display of a permanent museum (of a privately owned collection, but relatively open to the public). It is the largest collection in the world (despite what Sotheby's New York might say). The "Mythos Marklin" collection and the collection in the museum is in all reasonable terms *complete*...although items have been added to it in the past few years.

Yes, I remember it back in 2001. It is sold to winning UK bidding as German bidding missed out.

The loco/coaches was keep in barn for past 80 years and different to use.

The expert said only 3 set was made before 1910.
