Hi all!

According to a post on DSO, prototype loco 120 112 has received Märklin My World advertising.
They say it looks like the model of the BR 146.2 from the new items brochure.

Märklin models of the 120 112 could follow (but so far this is only speculation).

See here (link to German DSO site):

You may have to click the link twice as the first click takes you to the homepage, second attempt should take you to the topic.

Maybe they repeat the trick they used with the Claas locos: a hobby model from the TRAXX family (36614, RRP €130, yellow LEDs) without prototype and a more expensive model with prototype for slightly more money (probably around €280, white LEDs).
Time will tell.
Could be a 2012 Insider Model, a 2012 Fall New Item, or a 2013 Trade Fair New Item ...

Tom, you may very well be correct in your guesses.

There could also be another explanation and that is that a 146.2 in My World livery, if done in 1:1, would be used for regional trains I believe and thus only be seen in one region of Germany, whereas a 120 used for IC-trains can be seen at various places in Germany or in advertisement terms "more bang for the buck".

Personally, I don't have the 36614 on my shopping list, but if there will be a decently equipped 120, that is a model I may consider.
