Hi All,

We just flew back home and I simply coudn't wait to check out all those pictures taken at the Fair. Below is the link, I hope you like them.

While Marklin dazzled with all those great new items for 2008, ROCO (IMHO) stole the show with that loco with bouncing pantos and the sound of panto hitting the wires and also coaches with opening doors (also with sound). Way cool! Marklin's Mobil Vision is pretty cool too, however it may not hit US market any time soon; the whole thing is in PAL (European TV standard). Viessmann Commander (in English) will not ship until April and Uhlenbrock's IB2 is 2009 product. Met with Walthers regarding new distribution arrangement and, considering that all major Marklin USA players will be retained by Walthers, it should be fairly transparent arrangement.

Great Fair and we even managed to squeeze in short visits to Ulm (*),
Wurzburg (**) and Marklin's Erlebniswelt in Goppingen. I hope to post some pictures from those side trips but gotta hit the bed right now [|)]

<br />Wow! 1:1 scale preisers

After last year's model, Preiser presented again this year a nice show for their new coming miniatures - it was especially crowded in the afternoon when these models were dressed for the theme "on the beaches". biggrin

NB: The one with red t-shirt even posed as pantomime, changing position only once in a while; must be really quite stressful doing this all day long.

Good job setting up the pictures the way that you do - pretty cool.

I saw some good press on another website about Brawa. Did you get any pictures for us to share here ?

Thanks for this excellent slide show, Mike.

As most of my friends, I really like the Preiser models ...

The Trix structure # 66165 is also very interesting.

Thanks Mike.

Did you notice that some of the Märklin items are shown on DCC track, without pukos? Look at pictures #04, 05 and 07. Is that a statement?!

I also noticed that Märklin seems to have improved the looks on the DSB Nohabs. The railings are thinner. I wonder if they managed to remove the unsightly cog wheel from the driving boggie and if any interior details in were added in the cabins.

I can't wait to receive the Trix double decker coaches.

The Roco item on picture #10 must be at the correct length for sure, as must be the Northlander too.

After the Gottardo "experience", who would dare to pre-order the Senator?
Best regards,
Armando García

Do you have item numbers & price indication for the 1:1 Preisers? Preferably in bathing suits?
