Hi Tom,

Thanks for the link, nice pics.

Those Noch super trees sure look nice. But I also liked your article on how to make your own trees! Great if you need to put a Schwarzwald somewhere, without it costing you too much!

Great job!

Cheers,

Charlie.

Thanks. heres a link to those super tree kits
http://www.scenicexpress.com/supertrees.html
i suggest getting the starter set because it has tons of the nice flocking for the starter kit plus plenty left over for dozens more trees. i can make 20 trees in an hour. i usually make my trees in the evening at home and then take them to my shop where the layout is and have lunch later while placing the trees. unfortunatly some of the pics are blurry, it doesnt do justice to the trees. im still getting used to my new camera.

Hi Tom,
Nice looking layout I love the round house and transfer house section. The trees are looking really good. I'm still trying to plan my layout. I only have about 5x10 feet of space maybe a little more if I am careful. I hope you won't mind if I could steal some ideas from your pictures for my layout? I hope to see more pictures soon. I send mine along when I start it up. Keep up the great work. Looks awesome!!

Hi Tom,

Excellent work! How long has it been since you have started the layout? The super tree looks fantastic and the timing is perfect - I have just started thinking about trees for my layout.
I think that layout satisfaction will probably reach 1000% when you will be enjoying it with your son.

i guess i have been working on it for a couple of years, but like all things when i first started i didnt have much time to really work on it. Now, i spend maybe 10-12 hours a week on it. I'm a general contractor and am usually finnished with work by 3:00 in the afternoon. Rather than go home, i just stop by my shop and work on the layout for an hour or so. i work on the model kits and trees at home and haul them to the shop when done. This hobby is my therapy, when working on this stuff, i think of nothing else. which is sometimes bad because one can lose all track of time.
