I ran across this reference to Marklin Minex O Gauge Trains:

Sounds like a fascinating subject. Do any Forum Members have further info?

Thanks.

Yes - it's O scale narrow gauge - Oe - is the euro designation I believe - they were produced for 4 years only 1969 to 1972.

Nice runners after almost 40 years, also well constructed, and they are somewhat uncommon.

I have several complete sets of these including the very rare signals, and many boxed freight cars and individual locos - thinking that one day I'd do a layout - never got to it yet though.
Collecting / Fixing and Running trains since 1966.

I'm trying to add the little diesel and the steam loc (eventually) to my collection of marklin stuff. would be nice for this product line to come back. ideal size to run around the christmas tree.

Hi,

this picture shows the comlete assortment:

As you can see, this is a narrow-gauge railway, ordinary H0-tracks were used.

The most beautiful Minex layout is in the Efteling, the Netherlands.

It's nice, but it looks more like a diorama of count Dracula's castle than a model railroad layout. Smile
